Shirley They Can't Be Gone

RIB Lt. Frank Drebin
Today is a sad day for me.  Today we lost two legends in the world of entertainment.  First Actor Leslie Nielsen of Naked Gun fame passed away from complications from pneumonia.  The man was a living legend in Hollywood and I still remember fondly going with my parents to see the first Naked Gun movie in the Theatres.  The man was the master of Deadpan comedy and his talent will be sorely missed

He was 84

Better than the Anakin/Padme Kiss any day

Second and even more sadly for me is the loss of movie director Irvin Kershner.  Some of you may not know his name or face, trust me...you should.  The man is responsible for, in my opinion, the best of all the Star Wars movies...Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.  This movie was by far and away the best, Darkest, most amazing Star Wars film ever.  We learn that Vader is actually Luke's father, we're introduced to Jedi Master Yoda, Lando Calrissian, and Boba Fett.  Another Man who will be sorely missed.

He was 87

definately will miss Mr Neilson. Great canadian and some awesome comedy from him. Loved the Naked gun and Airplane. As for epV with star wars well it was very well done. Mr kershner is like all the directors and editors out there never known but always making an impact
