Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Premiere

Ok. I feel I have to chime in a bit. I JUST watched the premiere of "Agents" and while I thought it was a solid first episode I do feel the need to chime in a couple of things I noticed.

Coulson
Ok. He's back. They faked his death or whatever. I figured that out when I saw the promos. But this whole "he never should find out" thing. Lame. The show would be ok without it.

Agent Grant Ward
Or, more specifically the actor that plays him, Brett Dalton. Horrible actor. Ugh. Hope he gets some acting lessons before he goes and ruins the show.

References to every movie Marvel has made...like ever!!
Ok kids. Let's count. Tell me if I missed anything. Ahem
New York
Stark tower
Gamma
The Chitauri
Super soldier serum
Agent Romanoff
The Spider-Man esque way buddy climbed the building
Mention of Thor's arms
Mention of Loki
Exremis
And even used the train station the final scenes is the same station that gets a new sunroof thanks to Cyclops' laser vision  in the very first Xmen movie. I'm sure there was more. This is just off the top of my head.

Yes. We get it Joss. This series is set firmly in the Marvel universe. No need to ram it down our throats.

All that said. I'll be watching. For sure

The Avengers Are Coming...Soon

Ok..I'm excited,

Was just reading an article online HERE about Thor Actor Chris Hemsworth's diet and workout regime to prepare for Thor. The tail end of this article is what kind of perked my ears up and made me sqirm in my seat.

"Thor" hits theaters in just weeks, but there will be no rest in Chris' Norse god diet.

"We start shooting ['The Avengers'] in a couple of months," he told Access .

"The Avengers," due out in 2012, will unite Marvel's greatest heroes including, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America and Mark Ruffalo as the Incredible Hulk.

Since Thor comes out in May, a bit before my 35th birthday it will most likely be my birthday present to myself, but the Avengers?  How could I not be excited for this.  To finally see all these super heros in one movie side by side after all of the post-credit tie ins and hints is pure Geek-Spanish-Fly.  After all the shenanigans I read about Edward Norton's ultra control issues, I'm stoked for Ruffalo playing Banner/Hulk

Here's the Latest Thor Trailer for your viewing pleasure
